- Sobamae Moyuku Sapporo Branch ( Japanese notation: 豆皿料理・酒 そばまえ モユクサッポロ店 )
A set menu featuring Katsudon (pork cutlet rice bowl) and Soba (buckwheat noodles)—two dishes that most Japanese people love. This restaurant is located on the basement floor of "Moyuku Sapporo," a new commercial building that opened in the summer of 2023. The interior is spacious, so you can usually get a seat without waiting. The menu offers a wide variety of soba, and you can also choose from different set meals that pair soba with: Grilled fish Katsudon Tendon (tempura rice bowl) Kaisendon (seafood rice bowl) ...and more! The restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Tanukikoji Shopping Street, making it a great stop while exploring the area. While it may not be an authentic traditional soba restaurant, the food is quite tasty, making it a great choice for soba beginners. Of course, they also serve Japanese sake, which pairs perfectly with the soba dishes. 🍶 Soba Restaurant's Katsudon & Soba Set This restaurant is located in Moyuku Sapporo, which also houses the beautiful and stylish AOAO Sapporo Aquarium on the 4th to 6th floors. The aquarium stays open until 10:00 PM, making it a popular date spot for young people and a favorite destination for families in Sapporo. - Sapporo Pancake Last MINT
I absolutely love sweets, and I have a particular weakness for pancakes. There are several great pancake shops in Sapporo, and today I’d like to introduce one of them. This place is located right in the heart of the city, making it very convenient to visit. In the past, they also served parfaits, but it seems that the parfait menu has recently moved to another shop on the first floor of the same building. Their pancakes are not just sweet; they also offer savory options topped with bacon, smoked salmon, or frankfurters. However! I highly recommend the sweet pancakes with plenty of whipped cream! Due to the cozy atmosphere, the shop tends to attract a lot of female groups and couples, so if you’re a group of men, you might feel a little hesitant to enter. (That said, I personally don’t mind at all and even go alone! Haha.) The pancakes are truly delicious! If you love sweets, you should definitely give this place a try. Signature Dish of This Restaurant: Sapporo Pancake Sapporo Pancake with Chocolate Sauce Topping By the way, the interior of this restaurant is entirely decorated in mint blue, and the staff are all dressed in mint-colored, cosplay-like outfits, which adds to the fun in its own way. However, since Japanese people tend to be shy, please refrain from randomly striking up conversations with the staff. Haha! Shop's website : https://ffc-mint.com/mint/
- Yousyoku Ichiba Shimadaya Tanukikoji Branch ( Japanese notation: 羊食市場しまだや 狸小路店 )
There is a famous soul food in Hokkaido called "Jingisukan." This is a grilled meat dish where you cook lamb or mutton yourself on a wire mesh or an iron pan right in front of you. While there are some Jingisukan restaurants outside of Hokkaido, they are not very common. However, when it comes to Jingisukan, Hokkaido is undoubtedly the home of this dish, offering a level of deliciousness that sets it apart from others. If you visit Hokkaido, I highly recommend trying Jingisukan—especially if you have no reservations about eating lamb. There are many Jingisukan restaurants in Sapporo, but the one I recommend first is this place. Their menu includes: An all-you-can-eat option at a fixed price An all-you-can-drink option, including alcohol This makes it a worry-free choice. There are two main styles of Jingisukan: Grill-first style – You grill the meat first and then dip it into a special sauce. Pre-seasoned style – The meat is pre-seasoned, so you can eat it as is after grilling. Of course, there are other well-known Jingisukan restaurants in Sapporo, but they are extremely popular among tourists and often have long waiting lines. However, this restaurant is located in the heart of Sapporo, inside the Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and despite its central location, it is not overly crowded. This makes it easier to get in while still offering great taste—so I highly recommend it. Pre-seasoned style lamb Pre-seasoned style lamb (before grilling) A word of caution when eating Jingisukan. Since Jingisukan is grilled right in front of you at the table in every restaurant, there will be both smoke and a strong aroma. In some cases, the smell may cling to your clothes. If you are concerned about this, it is best to take off your outerwearas soon as you enter the restaurant. Most restaurants provide: Storage boxes Compartments Plastic bags for keeping your belongings, so be sure to make use of them. - Beer Bar NORTH ISLAND ( Japanese notation: ビアバー ノースアイランド )
There are several craft beer bars in Sapporo, and this is one of my favorites. The location is convenient as it is in the center of Sapporo, making it easy to access. The bar is on the 10th floor of the building, offering a nice view from the windows—especially at night. The brewery for this beer is located in Ebetsu City, which is next to Sapporo, but this is the only directly managed bar where you can enjoy their draft beer. Their regular beer lineup includes five varieties: Pilsner Brown Ale Weizen IPA (India Pale Ale) Coriander Black In addition to these, they also brew special seasonal beers in limited batches. You can also enjoy food made with Hokkaido potatoes, fresh vegetable salads, and various meat dishes, including pork, chicken, and lamb. I love craft beer, and their beer is truly delicious! If you’re a beer lover, you should definitely check it out! 🍻 Brown Ale (I especially love it!) Weizen (Mmm... Fruity!) I.P.A (Sharp and perfect!) All the beer here is brewed with a commitment to using 100% Hokkaido-sourced ingredients, including malt (and wheat for Weizen), hops, and of course, water. All of their bottled regular beers, as well as limited-edition beers, are available for purchase online through the brewery's official website. As for whether they also sell them at the beer bar... hmm... I'm sorry, but I don't remember...
